LMAO - This is how rumors get started, you dolt!
The INTERVIEWER said: "EXPECTATIONS FOR THE RELEASE OF THE TR-808, TR-909, AND TB-303 AS THE SECOND EDITION OF ROLAND BOUTIQUE IS LIKELY TO BE GREAT TOO."
The engineer said:
Tojo:Yes, I think so too. I think we will be getting a lot of feedback after this release, so we'd like to listen to what our customers have to say and decide on what to do next.
-------------------
So the interviewer said people will be expecting those models, and the Roland guy said he thinks people will want those but they are going to wait and see what they do.

The Roland Boutiques are almost exactly the same size as an original TB-303, so if they did do a Boutique 303, they could make it look like a exact replica in both layout and size. The only reason I passed on the Aira series was because the neon color scheme wasn't aesthetically pleasing.
Roland Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, MC-505, Casio CZ-101, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Kawai R-50e // Korg R3, microSTATION, Monotribe, MS-20 Mini, SQ-1, minilogue, electribe sampler, Volca series: Bass, Keys, Beats, Sample, FM, Kick, Moog Theremin
they do have sequencers. Sonic State has videos of 3 boutique units up on youtube right now. they look promising for people who want the retro sound without retro prices. I've seen 808's go for THOUSANDS of dollars. The Aira version has pretty lights and a lot more functionality, of course, but the little boutique has a tiny footprint and everything that the original does (I'm guessing)

relevant due to perceived design flaws in the latest incarnation of the electribes which while good could have been alot better.4kb wrote:The big question is: Why is this news for, or in any way relevant to, the Korg Electribe?Tom 62 wrote:The big question is: Will they include step sequencers?
So peeps hope that the shortcomings of the electribe will be addressed by Roland in its new product.
