Is there a way to set up the Radias' OSC1 external audio input so that a key press is not required to process external audio?
I have the audio output of a Bass Station II running through my Radias. If I have the BSII MIDI out connected to the MIDI in of the Radias, both the BSII and the Radias trigger on a key press, and the BSII audio is processed by the Radias without a hitch.
However, when I connect both the Radias and BSII to my computer via USB for sequencing in a DAW, the Radias is no longer triggered at the same time as the BSII, so the Radias amp envelope is not triggered and the BSII audio is not processed or passed through.
If anybody can think of a workaround here, that'd be awesome. Maybe I need to set up a single long note sequence in the Radias and trigger it with one of the buttons before processing BSII audio?
Radias External Audio Without Key Trigger?

Hi,
This works on my microKorgXL, and should be fine as well on the Radias. It is not without a key trigger. It is with one key trigger, more triggers work fine as well.
* configure the arpeggiator: on, in trigger mode, gating time 100%, latch on, sync off
* setup osc1 as before
* the amp envelope generator: 0 attack, 0 decay, 127 sustain, 127 release
* configure the timbre as mono1
After one hit, the arpegiator keeps firing notes. The mono1 setting (+amp relesae), makes that amp envelope basically stays in the sustain stage over the different notes.
PS. You can further explore for weird effects by using another mode of the arpeggiator (e.g. up, higher range), and hit a chord and setup a virtual patches with key tracking. The different notes of the arpeggiator can then e.g. tweak the panning. It is not fluent though...
Have fun.

so exactly what is the trigger??
so exactly what is the trigger??
that is where the midi map needs the tweak in the sound/midi chain...
if you are using the bs for the sounds source and the radias for the sound modify computer trigger the bs then trigger the radias from the sound input.
or you can trigger both bs radias at the same time on same midi.
I use stand alone sequencers to do this..
the scrittmacher works the best.... and can handle the midi load ok.
you can load it from the computer sequence after the proper sequence is made and tested.
