Part stops playing until I reselect the current pattern?

Post by Tarekith »

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone else had run into this issue.

Basically I have a very simple pattern on the E2, only two parts are being used. After a couple minutes of playing the pattern, one of the parts will stop playing, or rather it stops making sound. The note data is still there and I can play the part manually, but it's like the note data is disconnected from the sound engine. If I select another pattern and go back to the original, then it starts working as normal again for awhile until eventually it cuts out once more.

This is happening to me on more than one pattern too, totally different sounds and parts will stop playing though.

I can't sort it, anyone else ever seen anything like it?

That is most strange... El paso from me i'm afraid.
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.

Happens to me too, I have an atmosphere loop going and just two other instruments, but when I start playing something else, it just cuts off the loop for no reason. If there was 6 voice polyphony, I'd understand, but this is a bit unacceptable... :)

This definitely isn't a polyphony issue, both of these parts are really simple, no effects or filters. Odd.

I'll try a factory reset and OS reload.

I've never noticed something like this with my e2. But I'm still on old OS. Could an OS issue?

No idea. It's weird, happens totally randomly, and on more than one pattern using totally different OSC types. I'll keep experimenting, see if I can sort it.

Factory reset seems to have fixed it.

This very same thing happened to me last night as well. I did have my unit on all day, wondering if that had anything to do with it.

Mine's been in it's box for a few weeks while I was working on some other projects. Weird.
