Hi, I just got a Kaossilator Pro+ but there are a couple of things I don't get.
The manual says it's supposed to store the key/scale/range in the program memory buttons but it doesn't seem to work. If I use the editor to open up my 0.o1a file from the SD card, I can see that the key/scale/range is stored for each button but when the file is loaded the state isn't recalled. The device always boots in C Ionian even though it loads the file. If I try writing different key/scale/range settings to the program memory buttons, the state isn't recalled when I push the buttons, it just stays in whatever key/scale/range I last specified.
Is it broken or is it me? Does this feature work for anyone?
Also can anyone explain the purpose of the SYNC function for me? The info in the manual is a bit vague and I can't tell what it does. The device seems to behave exactly the same whether SYNC is on or off. Totally puzzled.
Thanks.

Ah, found it. For anyone else confused by this, to enable recall of key/scale/range from the program memory buttons, set UTILITY->PrLd to "ALL.P". The manual implies that this is the normal behaviour but it isn't.
Still can't figure out what difference UTILITY->SYNC makes. Can somebody please explain this? Is it subtle? I've read this over and over and I just can't understand what it's supposed to be doing (I know it definitely doesn't do what I hoped it would.)

SYNC: Specifies whether loop recorder operations
will synchronize to BPM.
If this is on, the recorder will synchronize to
BPM, but the sound may be interrupted at the
beginning of the phrase. If this is off, the recorder
will not synchronize to BPM, but there
will be no interruption of the sound. However if
you change the length of the phrase or if you
change the BPM, the recorder will automatically
operate as if SYNC were on.
TIP: When operating with BPM SYNC off, the TAP
TEMPO button will blink green. When operating with
BPM SYNC on, the TAP TEMPO button will blink
red.
