korg microkey and ipad

is it possible to use the micro keys to control an iPad mini 2?

Korg website front page shows Microkey 37 connected straight to an iPad. Also it says that Microkeys can be used with iPad.

HOWEVER,

This is not true. At least my Microkey 37 requires an external power supply to work with the latest iPad Air 2.

Why would Korg advertise it with a false image, I have no idea. Nice keyboard though, for its size.

Yes. You can connect the current Microkey MK2 models via the CCK to the iPad or iPhone. This works great.

For older Microkey models you'll need an usb hub (except for the Microkey 25).

I stand corrected. I had no idea that there are newer models with low power consumption. They seem to look identical on the outside.
