I mentioned last week I was writing a new editor for the microKORG. It's going quite well. There's lots of stuff still to do but it already has a few killer features:
* Full backup/restore of your microKORG
* Easy sharing of sounds online/in forums/etc.
* Very natural workflow
* Full undo/redo history as you edit
* Easy patch/program management
* Easy reset of program to bare parameters ("File->New...")
How about a selectable parameter patch randomizer? I have this on XL and Micron editors but I most want it on my favorite synth, the original Microkorg. It might be on the Mac version MK editor but I use PCs.

Yep, I thought of that but I haven't done it yet.
When I get v1.0 done I'll be happy to get feedback for extra features.
How about an 'evolutionary' editor? It could randomly make half a dozen new sounds based on the current one then you pick the one you like best. Repeat until you get the sound you want....
The randomizers I've used are very hit and miss. If it randomized "slightly" to "moderately" from a given patch, that would certainly result in many interesting and useful sounds. That feature alone could put your editor ahead of the pack!

It would have to look at the distance between the parameters from each generation to the next and base the next generation on those.
That way it will go in the direction you want it to.
Wow man! Definitely will wait for this!
Btw i'm new to microkorg, but not for analog and analog modelling synths, so this programm will really help to squeeze maximum from powerfull synth as microkorg. And i don't want to step on old soundeditor territory
Will be glad to test program as beta tester
So far been using max for life patch for editing microkorg from pc via ableton.
How does this program send the data to the MicroKORG? can it be done through midi? I have a midi t USB cable and an original MicroKORG, can I use this program?
And btw looks great can't wait to try it out. Also is there any way of possibly changing the DWG waveforms? I am unfamiliar with the architecture of the MicrKORG the only synths I've built have been very simple.
Will this program be open source or have a way of making mods/addons?
keep up the amazing work :3
