Activating MT 32 Midi box with Korg 3500
I have had my equipment in storage for a while but I am giving it now to my granddaughter to use while away at school. I cannot remember how to activate and turn on the Midi....I recall pressing a button on the Korg and maybe a key on the lower keyboard, but I do not recall which ones... Does anyone know??? Feel free to email me or answer on this forum. Ndap@hotmail.com..... Oh, dear, I didn't think I would ever forget how to use the midi....
With several posts of this question up now and no replies I can only guess no one knows. Might have to dig deeper and find some old documentation and start digging in. A lot of the people here are quite knowledgeable and more specific questions, might get the ball rolling. Good Luck!
One question, have you tired contacting the individual tech support centers?

Picked up from the Synthmania website. It may be relevant:
"Note: the first thing to do upon turning on the MT-32 is to press "MASTER VOLUME" and the "5" part button at the same time, press the "1" part button. This will reset the MIDI channels one through eight, and when playing - typically - from a MIDI keyboard set to channel 1, it will play. If you don't do this, you're not going to be able to hear anything because for some odd reason the MT-32 factory MIDI configuration sets part one to MIDI channel 2. Channel 1 has mysteriously disappeared."
It follows that the Korg 3500 needs to be set to output on MIDI channel 1.
