New website
Hello all. It's been awhile since I've been here. I just set up a new website(it's taking me awhile to learn the in's & out's but it's sinking in slowly)(I'm no quick study) The reason I'm here is because I have a Korg PA1X which I use for setting up new songs. Anyway, my site is at http://gbgriffith.com and I've posted one song "Man in the middle" It was done awhile ago. Any comments??? Thanks
I don't wish to sound negative, but there's no information on your website at all, and there's only one song that sounds like something that was recorded off a very old Cassette Tape.
Best to add some content to your website first before inviting people to take a look. I mean that sincerely. I was going to say nothing at all because I hate the fact that what I'm saying sounds negative, but in all fairness, it's either say that or nothing at all, and you did ask for feedback. I'm just being honest.
Regards
Sharp.

Older & wiser
Back at you Sharp. As I said in the post, it is a new website and still pretty raw and you're right the song was done partly on a cassette recorder (which by the by seems to be coming back in vogue due to it's warmer effect)but I think it's not a bad demo and stand by it's quality even if it doesn't meet your standards.

Why cassette but not tape recorder? I think tape recorder must be better unless i am wrong.griffin2003 wrote:Back at you Sharp. Hey you know Sharp is correct.
Give yourself some time to garner attention to a polished product.
As it stands I wouldn't return to see it because as they say first impressions are the ones we tend to walk away with and its tough to make a second first impression. That said keep on working at it. Hard work will be obvious

I have to say with all honesty I agree with Sharp here. I dont think anybody is criticising your music here. It is just the production of the finished result. In the very least try and get it recorded digitally because that is where your cassette recording ends up to get it onto your site so, why not record direct into a digital resource ? and bypass the cassatte
Negativity is a disease of the brain. Positivity is owning a PA4X
Good work getting your first website up and running; hopefully it's been an enjoyable experience putting it together and learning about web development. With the likes of SoundCloud and so on, it's all too easy these days just to setup an account and being done with it - setting up your own site, with a domain, is quite an accomplishment. I quite like the graphical design of it too.
Thanks for letting us take a look, and I'm sure more content will come with time. Maybe a bit of a bio and some contact information would be a good place to start?
