I'm using a Kurzweil PC3 to control the Kronos (via a USB cable) as a second board.
Via CC11 Express I can easily control the volume.
I also want to control some effects parameters like the Reverb Wet/clean balance. This works great by using GMReverb (don't recall the cc number) if the Program in the Combi is not using ifx effects but directly is sent to L/R
I needs some ifx effects and that breaks that option.
Is there a way to link a CC from an external controller to a parameter in an ifx block?
I want to do things like:
- Change depth of flanger (ot other effect)
- Change to sent to fx
- change eq levels by the sliders on my PC3.
Thanks!
How to control effect parameters from external controller

I haven't done this myself, but it should be easy enough.
In the IFX, assign the IFX parameter to an internal control that can also be manipulated by MIDI (Let's say Joy -Y for example)
Assign your external controller to the same channel and CC# number as the Joy -Y.
... I think this should work. In theory, before the IFX can be controlled by something via MIDI, a modulation source needs to be assigned. Then if you control that modulation source whether it be via MIDI or via your own internal controller (Like the Kronos) it should work.
I'm not a MIDI expert, but it seems like reasonable logic to me

I tried this, but it doesn't work for controlling the effects.
If i set the wet level of a reverb in the MFX to Ribbon (cc#16) and Amount to +100 it work by using the ribbon.
But if I send controller 16 via an external midi-controller it doesn't work. I know my controller very well (Kurzweil PC3).
I checked the global setting for midi controller, seems to be set okay.
Would be great if can get this to work.
My setup is PC3 bottom, Kronos 2 61 top. USB from PC3 to kronos.
I sent via Channel 9 and mainly use the Kronos for the piano.
I made combi with on channel 9 a piano. I want to EQ it live (for making it cutting or warmer) Also add reverb depending the song.
