For sure I did know it was a typo Sir!Nemik wrote:My bad, typing error, I fixedstratquebec wrote:-Expert modeNemik wrote: You can use in mode expert without turning ON BASS INVERSION.
to play D chord with F# bass play notes F3 and D only.
-Bass inversion off
F3 + D = Dm as expected, not D/F#
F#2 + D = D/F#

PA600
what's all this 'F#2 + D' ? calculus? it's either Dm, D major or D/F or D/F#stratquebec wrote:-Expert modeNemik wrote:You can use in mode expert without turning ON BASS INVERSION.tombikadam wrote:I solved the problem, in the style play screen CHECK the box BASS INVERSION at the lower right corner
PROBLEM SOLVED.
to play D chord with F# bass play notes F3 and D only.
-Bass inversion off
F3 + D = Dm as expected, not D/F#
F#2 + D = D/F#
Dm notes are D,F,A
D major has F# instead of F natural
a chord inversion depends only on which note of the chord you put in the bass....it doesn't matter how you stack the rest of the chord above the bass.
BTW, Korg's terminology is wrong. In music theory there's no such thing as 'bass inversion'. It's called 'chord inversion'. I can't 'invert a bass', I can only invert a chord. A bass is a single note, AND the lowest one in a chord: impossible to 'invert' it. Even supposing it were possible, it would not be the bass anymore. So the term 'Bass inversion' makes no sense whatsoever.

If you take it out of context like that, then yes it's wrong. But in this case, Korg assumes that you already know you're dealing with a Chord and not a single note. If you take that into consideration, then it sounds just fine.Epictetus wrote:...
