Songbook overwrite option gray and not available
Looks like I don`t have the opportunity to change the song file in songbook suddenly?
Earlyer I could bring up my songbook entry, replacing an old Midi file with a new mp3 in song play. and just save the songbook entry, with overwriting current entry.
But now overwrite option gray and not available.
What happened? Upgraded to 1.2.0 done factory reset.
Is this something that occurred after upgrading to 1.2.0?
Is there a "hidden lock" I have overseen?
Very annoying to have to first delete the old songbook entry and then create it again just to have the opportunity to change song file.
This was no problem previously.

I know they rewrite Songbook, but in other Pa was on page menu Enable List Edit, which was kind lock you need to enable before edit Songbook.
But not sure is in PA4x.
Can't find anything about in manual.

Not enable List Edit
Thanks, but "enable list edit" is for edit the songbook list,
not the actual songbook entry.
So it must be something else....

Yes! It is not easy to simply change a tempo or transpose or a style too.Looks like I don`t have the opportunity to change the song file in songbook suddenly?
SONGBOOK has changed and hopefully the EDITOR will help us with all of this.

Hi,
Since linked resouces are the core of a SongBook Entry, you can't change them. There is, however, a simple solution to what you are trying to do.
1. Select the original SongBook Entry.
2. In the Player, choose a different Song.
3. Keep the SONGBOOK button pressed for about one second. The Write Song dialog will appear.
4. If you selected a Song with the same name as the original, you can simply confirm overwriting the old SongBook Entry.

Paolo, and what if we want to keep STS's ( Keyboard sets) from original (first) songbook entry? That is a problem... On previous models I could change style from songbook entry and keep specific made STS's for that song... Now ,if we owerwrite songbook entry, old keybaord sets setup also overwrites with that selected style settings.... That makes a big headache for me... So one solution is OS change or speed up with Songbook editor

Thanks Paolo, this solve my problem

You can overwrite. It is possible by giving the same name for the songbook record.newkorgguy wrote:So this is still not fixed as i can see?
If i want to change style in songbook entry , i don't have option to overwrite that entry but to make new one?
To be honest it is not solved in the right way. On korg pa3x you can exchange style without being forced to create new entry.
