What it would be really cool is transferring samples from an iPad straight into the SD-Card of the ES2 through a camera connection kit; I also like to do samples-editing on Audioshare on my iPad... But the computer is still needed to move those files onto the card in the end.

nope, you can read/write to a es2 formatted SD card via the kingston mobilelite wireless G3, no laptop required. But this will only facilitate sample management. Korg would do well to build an app for iOS that would also allow editing of the sequences & .all file etc, they should get in touch with kingston and make it happen! (doubtful it will ever happen tho)
Yes I knew that option, but still one more device... straight from the iPad to the card would be the ideal.
