Volca Sample Tutorial - Expanding your tempo range to 10-600

Hey everyone,
Here is a tutorial covering all things tempo.

Inside you'll find instructions on how to expand your Sample tempo range from the default (56-240bpm) to the full range (10-600bpm). I've also included a variety of extra features and tricks this opens up on the Korg Volca Sample.

One thing i've been wishing for recently is to be able to motion sequence the tempo knob. I could record percussive fills. You could switch between patterns and be in the write tempo. You could have a part b section in your track that's at half time to create more interest etc.

Is there a way to adjust the bpm so that the values change slower while turning the knob?

I have a live set with a lot of tempo changes. It's very difficult to get exactly the bpm I want because the knob is so sensitive. I'm using the expanded bpm, which seems to make the values jump even faster. Is there a modifier button or anything to make the values change slower?

i believe the speed at which adjustments happen to the tempo knob or any of the pots on the volcas has to do with the potentiometer resistance and wouldn't really be changeable without changing the pots.

Well technically it could be completely customized with software, but I'm guessing the Volca Sample doesn't have that ability. I read elsewhere that certain metronomes might be able to send a sync tempo change, but I'm not sure if that works or how well that works.

there are a number of ways to fake a sync signal for the volcas through metronomes and certain drum machines. a number of devices also send a sync signal, the pocket operators for instance. personally, i use a monomachine as the brain of my setup and control tempo through midi with that.
