M3-73 SD card

Post by seanL »

Is there a limit in the M3 Operating System of the memory size of the SD card that can be installed internally? For instance will the OS recognize a 32 GB SD card?

Thanks

Sean

I think the limit is 2GB but it doesn't really matter since you can't store any user samples or songs on it. It's only good for the OS and Korg supplied expansion libraries.

Another question about SD cards... Does SDHC cards will work inside the M3 ? I know that the extra space won't be usuable, but nowadays "old" SD cards become rare in the market !

Here's an excerpt from the karma-lab wiki ...

You need a 1 GB to 2 GB non-SDHC Secure Digital (SD) card of standard size 3.2 cm by 2.4 cm. The card must be formatted as FAT32. There is a small improvement in system start-up time if you get an SD card rated at 150x or above that is suitable for digital cameras. This Transcend 150x 2GB SD Card performs extremely well.
