PA 600 power supply

Post by hkarram »

Hi ........ I've bought a PA 600 over the net from ebay ( supposed to be sold in the USA only ) ....... and brought it over to Egypt ....... as a precaution before I plug it to the wall socket ...... I found that the power input can be 100 - 240 volt ...... which is OK .... because the electric current in Egypt is 220 volt ................. but what worried me that I found on the power cable that will connect the machine to the wall socket 125 volt !!!!

does that mean that the cable should be connected to 125 volts only ??? ...... what if it is connected to 220 volt ???? ...... would that hurt the PA 600 ???

In the operating manual I found that the power input is ( AC - universal ) .... which means that it can be connect to any wall socket in any country as I understand

A final question ..... what is the wall socket voltage in the USA ???

I haven't connect it to electrical power yet ....... waiting your advice

If it's the AC power cable you are talking about, you should be fine.

PA600 does not draw a lot of power (around 30 watts I think) and the cable should be able to handle that load without a sweat.

also, It uses a very common type power cable, so you can easily find a replacement (lead) cable at any electrical parts / appliance repair shop as it is used in a lot of household products.
