I haven't done anything about it and Korg has not mentioned it. It might be better to put this post on the original thread so we can keep up with everyone who has the problem.
I am going to call repair center and ask what they advise. Will let you know.
Edit: I called the repair center (AudioElectronics) in Dallas. They had heard of the problem but hadn't seen one. I will make arrangements to go there and let them see it and decide how to proceed. I'll have to see what day is best because it is a 150 mile drive each way.

Not really I took it out a couple of weeks ago but only just took it out off the case yesterday Tues played it put the screen back down and presto it wouldn't close properly it just springs open it looks a little out of zinc on one side. Maybe the case has movement but can't really be a judge on thatkenackr wrote:jonnie,
Just curious, are you moving the Pa that often like to a gig?

I move it once a week. It has not been dropped, bumped or abused in any way.

OK this is looking more and more like a design fault either the case has movement I guess that is possible being Aluminium,or a faulty button. All I can suggest is get onto your supplier post haste to get it sorted mine is currently in transit to Korg UK

It's sort of Ironic, when the Pa2x introduced the motorized display, everyone was betting it would break or fail within weeks and it actually was very sturdy and reliable. I don't recall any issues being reported with it.
With the Pa4x, when I heard it was going to have a manual locking screen I said to myself; Ok lighter and more dependable = good thing.
How Ironic the new simpler design is also the worst reliability.

kbrkr,
The obvious answer is that Korg must have thought there would be less problems too, but it is becoming clear that they should have studied it more closely.
You've heard the old expression: "To Assume makes an ass out of u and me" , where Korg is the ass who made the assumption.

Plus one!! All the naysayers thought the Pa2x motorizied screen would break down, it never did. ikbrkr wrote:It's sort of Ironic, when the Pa2x introduced the motorized display, everyone was betting it would break or fail within weeks and it actually was very sturdy and reliable. Sounds like a class action law suit is in order to force Korg to do a recall to replace these screen units. I've seen many issues with other product where the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge a known issue and they need to be coerced into action.
Korg should send out a Technical service bulletin to all Pa4x owners directing them to take their keyboards to the nearest repair facility for a Warranty repair.
