MIDI SYNC ISSUE: ES2 changing pattern a bar behind master.

Howdy folks.

Have an issue with syncing my ES2 to my BOSS RC-505.

When I change the pattern on the BOSS (which is master) the ES2 always changes pattern a whole bar after. I do want the change to happen, just at the same time. If I stop them running and change it, the ES2 does it instantaneously.

Current live setup I'm working towards is having sections of tunes on sequential patterns, so for example intro on 050, verse on 051, chorus on 052 and so on. So I set both the RC-505 and ES2 on pattern 050, start playing, then at some point switch the RC to pattern 051, which it waits til the end of the current bar to do - but the ES2 only seems to get that message once the RC has already changed, and then it waits til it comes back around to the 1 to change itself.

Any ideas?

The RC505 probably does not actually send the PC msg until the top of the next bar. You could verify this if you have a MIDI monitor utility on your computer.

Then, if the PC msg arrives after the downbeat the E2 would wait another bar before switching.

That's my best guess of what you are experiencing.
