how to change pitch bend wheel for use as modulation wheel

Post by tonytequila »

Hi
could someone please tell me how I can or is it possible to use the pitch bend wheel on pa600 as a fast /slow modulation rotary wheel for organ or synth sounds.

Thanks.
Thanks Tony,

Pick an organ sound you want to use, and go to the effects menu where you pick the effects. Choose one of the rotary effects and click on the tab where you see all of it's parameters. There are a few pull-down menus where you can choose the pitch bend lever "+Y" or "-Y", which will set that control for speed switch of the rotor. I'm going by memory here and don't have my PA600 in front of me.

Also, a lot of the factory organ sounds are designated with a "V' at the end of the file name, which means the rotary effect is controlled with velocity. You may need to pick an organ that is not deignated with a "V" for this to work best.

I would also suggest finding an organ performance that has "Y+" or something like that in the file name, I'm pretty sure there is one. Then go in and look at the effects paramters and that will give you an idea how to set up your organ performances in this manner.

Sorry that posted twice. I fixed some typos and it somehow posted the first one.
