I hear the Scottish festival is a big deal in Central Florida in August

No one goes outside in August. I went to a political rally a few years ago in my home town in July. I learned an important lesson; don't go to outdoor political rallies in the summer. Ever.
The Renaissance Festivals in Florida are in batches. First, there are three in November. Second, there's a new one in December. Finally, there are two from February to April. As for Scottish festivals, the closest is in January.
Needless to say, I won't be trying for gigs on the Kronos at either type of event. I've played in a duo at the New York Renaissance Festival a long time ago. I played clavichord and my wife played harp. A fun gig, which I may try again. But not in August. In Florida.[/quote]
I recall that humidity in July /Aug. We would go out in the early am, then stay in for the day. It can also get hot here in the valley area of No. California. Once we have 100 degree days its no going out in the afternoons. We don't have the humidity like FL but 100 degrees is not comfortable.
