ChrisG "Movements" 200 Presets Bank for Minilogue

Post by chris1a »

This bank is, with its many pads, keys, experimental yet musical sounds, plucks & arps, largely geared for cinematic things, ambient things, experimental things, chill things, downtempo, soundtracks and similar, rather then your typical EDM (or Norwegian death metal), although there are some more aggressive & contemporary sounds in there as well.

There are 200 presets in this bank. You'll find many various kinds of expressive pads, from cold to warm, from static to evolving and moving. Many various expressive keys, bells/chimes, piano -type of sounds. You'll find various plucks as well as various arps, that fit in well with the overall cinematic/ambient/experimental theme of this bank. While the vast majority of the sounds are focused around the above, there are of course both bass and leads (and a few stabs!) in there.

Being able to be as expressive as possible using only velocity and the slider was one of the important things while doing this bank.

So the majority of the presets make good use out of the slider, adding movement to pads, quick filter cuts, morphing the sounds, etc.

Majority of the patches also make good use of the velocity/amp setting in the Minilogue, controlling both volume and filter, so don't be afraid to hit those keys a bit harder (or gentler) where needed!
