Hello,
I know we can create style in an external sequencer as well as modify existing ones onboard and make new ones.
How about making brand new ones in the keyboard itself? Can I laydown the rhythms and chord variations and other instruments and make a style on the board itself, from ground up? I never tried it and could not find any instructions for it.
Do you guys know if that is possible on the korg pa4x?
thanks in advance,

I don't know anything about music. In my line you don't have to -- Elvis Presley.

Yes
Basically
Style Record button.
Record new style
Do all the settings
Time signature , tempo , no. Bars element ( ie variation. Or fill etc)
Set your key and chord.
Choose instrument ie bass, drums whatever
Press start button
You get a countin start recording.
It keeps cycling till you press stop.
(Good for drums you can record bass then snare etc while it cycles thru)
Just keep writing style ( saving ) as you go.
Not quite as simple as that you need to know notes allowable etc
Ntt settings etc but this sort of stuff you need to know if recording in a daw also.
Probably nothing much in the little manual that came with the keyboard.
There should be a DVD came with it, maybe the advanced manual which contains far more info is on that, (don't have dvd rom on my laptop so can 't check, go to korg site and download it.
best wishes

Ground up
I have found that during my learning curve these last few months, that when you cannot find the 'perfect' pattern to imitate your song, it's WAY easier to build from scratch rather than modify existing tracks. There are 'phantoms' in the tracks that are difficult to hear or find even. The instrument is really cool and REALLY DEEP! The styles allow for many different types of chord progressions and also variations based on what you are playing. If you are doing a simple song and you NEVER change the key, you can build a VARIATION that acts exactly like a MIDI file with a chord progression and all, OR, you must learn to build the way they did. Each track. voice, or instrument however u want to refer to it, can be FIXED or relative. You decide. For instance, I play Cheap Trick " I want you to want me"
Intro 1 follows the record.
Vari A first and second verse and bridge LOOP.
Vari 2 chorus and solo progression
Vari 3 bridge
Ending 3 end
I set it up this way to NOT follow me but to always play like a MIDI sequence so that I can play the guitar pitch bends and not have to also change chords

I'm a solo player/singer making another go of it. Looking for help thank you
