so this is what i would like the volca mixer to have :

pans indviual mutes 3.5mm stereo for each channel 8 channels a 2 eq for each channel...1 gobal anlog filter lowpass and high pass 12 and 24 db switch...5 outputs L/R 1/4. sub 1/2 3.5. and headphone jack 3.5mm. make it be able to run off both batteries and usb powered. it should have 3 aux sends plus one fx send in built 4 effects 3 controls for each effect and make effects stackable effects i like delay fuzz reverb flanger... usb audio and sd card for recording jams price $200-600 usd

should add midi in and out 5 din so ccs control of more under hood mixer

I wish the Volcas had been designed with a line-in socket, so that the audio could be daisy-chained in the same way as the sync signal.

No need for an external mixer (unless needing optimal sound quality). It would have been useful when using the Volcas with headphones or amplified speakers, or for making simple recordings.

All the Volcas have volume controls, so no extra knobs would have been necessary; just one additional jack socket. I even opened up my Volcas to see if a mod was possible, but the audio routing is not at all obvious (to me anyway).

Suggested to Roland to built MX-1 boutique ... will see who jumps in first :) k-mix (McMillen) is pretty cool but $600 is too steep
