Well, what can I say? I saw the YouTube video, and I thought "Gotta get one!". I applied for & got approved for credit for Volca Bass/Beats/FM/Kick & Sample. FM should be here next week, and they said Volca Kick in early or mid November.
Volca Bass/Beats & Sample arrived Friday, and I'm getting to slowly figure them out, but once I get my mixer out of the pawn shop, plug in my KRK Roxkit5 monitors, and Volca Kick arrives, I think I'll more or less be in techno heaven while I slowly pay them all off. I didn't see the need for Volca Keys right now, but maybe by the time my birthday rolls around, I'll treat myself, and then I'll own the whole Volca family.
By Namm 2017, I wonder if more Korg Volcas will be announced? Anyway, if you are/are not going to get a Volca Kick, post here. 4 Volcas will just have to keep me occupied until it arrives!

I'm preordered on the Volca Kick - Sweetwater indicates it will arrive in early November. I'm really interested in it more as a sub bass generator than for kick drums, so there's some risk as to how well it will actually function for that purpose. But I just love the Volca form factor.
When the first 3 Volcas came out, the Keys was the one everyone got excited about. It was a super cheap analog synth with 3-note polyphony, so the appeal is understandable. But it's actually been one of the ones I use the least, especially since the FM came out.

I'm sure Volca Beats/Kick/Sample can keep the rhythms together quite nicely. Just as I'm sure Volca Bass/FM/Keys give a nice array of synth goodness. I'm debating if I even need the new electribes, since I need a synth much more. (3 note polyphony is not the greatest limit to be stuck with).
Anyway, now that I just saw the Arturia DrumBrutte machine, I only slightly feel foolish I bought Volca Beats, but how was I to know that Arturia had this coming out?
