NanoKey2 style micro keyboard for the ES2?

Post by behndy »

boop boop.

i loooooved the og EMX, never got as into the ESX (? the big blue pseudo tuby jugger METAL METAL METAL case thing?), but am sooooooo wobbky excited for the ES2 i have on the way. slowly stepping back into some hardwars after years of gigging with a laptop.

was thinking i might enjoy a tiny portable keyboard for the ES2, but not sure because of all the micro version of interface options on the back..... will the USB out of the NanoKey2 work with the ES2?

anything else similar that doesna require a USB to MIDI box?

thanks!

also, firrrrrrst post. WOOT NEW FORUM. WOOOOOOO!!

I am pretty sure that the ES2 will not provide USB power to USB powered devices. USB is provided for DAW integration. You will need to use a powered controller and MIDI in.

durp. i'm a git. lol. of course it draws it's power from USB.

and if i powered it off a hub it would not have the USB/MIDI out to conenct to an ES2.

hurm. doubt there's a tiny keys controller that either runs off batteries or has a USB for power and another for MIDI out.
