I came across this youtube video and link yesterday. It shows a program called esxSlicer/wav2esx. There's a link to download the program there, too.

It works fine so far for me. It lets you take all the .wav files you have in a directory and automatically combine them into a single Slice sample that's saved to an ESX file, with all the slice points perfectly defined. It works for both one-shot sounds and for looping sounds like single-cycle wave forms.
The weird thing, though, is that I can't find any other info on the program anywhere on the internet. The youtube video doesn't have any dialog or comments, and the download for the program doesn't have any instructions or txt file bundled with it, though it's not hard to figure out. I don't even know who made it, or how long it's been out there, beyond the upload date of the video from around 9 months ago.
