Offering both 76 and 88 key versions with the Kronos 61 key action (I hope so) would be an extremely cool move by Korg: really listening to user wishes.

This would cover ALL professional needs for the use of the still by far most powerful multi-purpose-synth/workstation. Imagine professional gigging musicians with variations like 88 weigthted and 88 light weithted Kronos on top: this allows
- having endless split/layer possibilities
- having a proper keybed both for Piano/EP play and synth/organ play
- and always having a full 88 keyboard as immediately useable backup

This will definitely give Korg access to new buyers, without having to invest much into R&D.
Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5

I would bet that a Kronos LS will be the Krome replacement. Some features omitted and a cheaper keybed. Maybe no sampling and simple arps vs KARMA.

Could be, except all the controls are identical, which includes the Karma buttons.

What stand are they using for the Arp FS and Kronos LS? Looks quite impressive and sturdy.

Looks to me like it's a KRONOS with a Light Weight keybed. Nothing more, nothing less.

Probably also means the KRONOS is going to be around for quite a while more before KORG release a successor.

Regards
Sharp.

That was my impression as well, and I do not expect a new flagship workstation in either 2017 or 2018.
I think the KROME is the more likely candidate to be replaced by a new model.

Sunburst finish end cheeks... err... interesting

I don't think it will be available for a while, but all new Kronoseses(!!) have been released with an OS increment, haven't they?

Where's the evidence of a 73/76 note Kronos LS version? All I see is the Odyssey FS, Kronos 88 LS and Vox Continental. The Vox is 73 note semi-weighted (presumably) with the CX3+ and other voies. Will be interesting to find out how close it comes to the Kronos in the other categories: AP, EP, Synth.

Kronos 73, Nautilus 61, Vox Continental 73, Monologue, Yamaha Montage 8, Rhodes Suitcase, Yamaha VL-1, Roland V-Synth, Yamaha AvantGrand, Minimoog Model D, Studio Electronics Omega 8, CSS, Spitfire, VSL, LASS, Sample Modeling, Ivory, Komplete 12, Spectrasonics, Cubase, Pro Tools, etc.

Yeah, I'm starting to think if a 76 was going to be a part of the new line-up it would've been there. The 88 would have to be pretty lightweight for me to consider that. The size of it takes up too much stage real estate for your average weekend warrior, that's why I was hoping for a 76/73.

Sunburst! They must be marketing it to guitarists then.

Yeah, we can hope for an updated OS with some new features. :D
