Presets on Garageband? Help!

Heyo, just got a microkorg and I am looking to record it garageband. I've got a midi to USB converter all plugged in but it only lets me use the presets.

Any idea on how to let me play my microkorg and record it straight into there?

hi, were you referring to GB presets?

if you want to record the sounds of the microkorg, you'd need an audio interface, too.

You will also need to change certain audio settings for the track you are using.
Try loading a "real instrument" track, and then check to make sure it is routed to your audio interface, that you will need to get.
I saw some cheaper ones for around 50usd.

You will also need two audio cables to go from the audio outputs in the back (i have the XL+ version) that go into the audio jacks in the audio interface, then run the usb from the back of your interface to the usb port on your computer.
My interface sends both midi and audio from the audio interface.
