Transfering Styles from Roland

Post by Korg Fan #1 »

I want to transfer my styles from my roland e-a7 to korg pa900, I came up with two ideas
1)midi
2)styleworks

a)Is there actually a way to do it through midi(and how)?
b)and does stylesworks really work well?

EMC Styleworks is OK. It does a fairly decent job. However, you will have to edit the converted style in the PA900. If you can save the style in MIDI and you are good at it, A DAW would be a better way.
The only stupid questions are the questions that have not been asked.

What will I have to tweak when using EMC styleworks?(volumes?)

That depends on how well the style was translated. Sometimes is the volume, sometimes the voices, etc. Most likely the STS, etc.
