Seems to be nothing else then remarketing - a clever way of positioning targeted ads in front of a defined audience, without real benefits for users.

Think if one do not like remarketing tags to be associated with personally identifiable information or placed on pages related to sensitive categories, also will extend warranty agreed before purchasing without need to register separately with personal data.

Would be better to have a good support for all users after buying a device as to get extended warranty only for buyers who register separately.
kind regards

Why wouldnt they, if it doesnt break in the first 3 months, it will probably not break in the first decade or so...

A keyboard like the pa4x is nothing like a mobile phone, but they are still build to last.

In the US it's one year and if you sell it even if it's in the first year it is not transferable, which means the 2nd buyer is not covered under the warranty.
I think that policy stinks and should be changed but I don't see that happening, and YES! I am speaking from experience.

I live in California. When I registered they bumped my warranty up to 3 years. I have not had success using the warranty, so I don't see why it matters. Like someone said, a machine will usually go bad (in a warranty way) within less than one year. All other problems aren't cover by the warranty. So I guess it's just a sales job to tempt us to buy.

Warranty registration asks for serial #. Anyone know where the heck you find the serial #?? Is it that barcode sticker on the bottom?
