Go for the V-synth.

Make sure it has a proper step down transformer, and not simply an el-cheapo solution with just a diode. A proper transformer unit should feel fairly heavy.

Now I feel a bit stupid but firstly thank you so much for your replies
I went to seal the deal today and found out that it was just sold

I'll keep my eye out now and not need to hesitate next time.
