Private messaging question

Hi - I've submitted a number of private messages, and these have appeared in my "outbox". But they are not appearing in my "sent box". Furthermore, in the outbox window I cannot see any submit or send option. Could someone shed some light on this for me please?

They will stay in your outbox until the recipient actually opens them to read - then they will appear in your sentbox
