richer piano sound

Post by Joe Corriveau »

Wondering if anyone can offer advice on improving some of the default piano sound(not electric piano). Are there FX, or other settings that can create richer piano sound ?

The problem is the nature of the samples more than any mixing you can do to fix.
Best to load some new sampled pianos. I have a set consisting of a sampled Steinway and a freebie offered by Korg some years back called the Grand Touch which you can download from here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4_6p- ... sp=sharing
All up its about 27 mb of data.
If you don't have any user samples loaded at the present you can safely load the whole set that will put 16 pianos in the first bank of User 1 sounds.
If you already have user sounds in these locations then choose Open, Sound, Open, User 1, Open then Load the individual sounds to a free User 1 slot.
Make sure you first unzip the file. (In windows right-click and choose Open with... Windows Explorer).
