weird sequence phasing

Post by jamesjamesx »

Hi everyone, all my new sequences sound like they're going through a phaser (or something similar - a volume envelope?) - the volume disappears to almost nothing then gets louder again.

I've turned off all effects on each track and overall.

Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!

It could be that something/everything is being triggered twice.

If you're using an external seq, check your documentation for troubleshooting this.

If it's just the M3 sequencer alone, I'd start with checking for any doubled (simultaneous) notes on a track as two instances of the same sound can cause a phase effect.
Likewise, if you're sharing programs across a channel, you may have to slightly detune one or more to cancel the phasing.

Thanks Tetrafractal, I'll try that!

They're all internal sequences.

Thanks for the advice- I checked, and doubled notes doesn't seem to be the issue.

It's like a slow volume and/or filter envelope (?) that affects all tracks in the sequence - the sequence starts loud, then goes soft and muffled, then loud again.

Every new sequence I create has the same issue.

Weird!
