Thanks mate.
I'll give it a go when I get home.
I'm at a afl football match in Melbourne.
West coast eagles v western bulldogs.
Check out afl.com for guys who have never heard of Australian rules football.

Post by wangoo »

Hi,
I'm about to update the system v2 PA4X. I don't know which file "upd" or "pkg" chosen. What is the difference to the final result?
Thks for your prompt replies.

When you press INTRO 1 and power on Keyboard - you'll see if you need PKG or UPD file. It says in upgrade manual 😉

After copying all 5 files on a USB (Pa4X_OS_and_Resources_v200.pkg.001, 002, 003, 004, and 005), it took three tries (kept failing at various % complete) after it loaded the new OS, however now this is second time I got ""Error while restoring internal data" - may be I may have to go back to the previous version. Then may be try again.

Anybody having similar difficulty?

Thanks

I think a video is not necessary. I simply followed the instructions (clear and in different languages, included mine) and everything was simple and smooth.

I can understand that such a big update may feel you worry, but follow the instructions and don't be afraid.
Several people already did the update without problems, the same will apply to you (hopefully) ;-)
For what this update has on offer it's for sure worth trying.

As mentioned in the other thread:

The update concists of 6 ! files, the "Pa4X_OS_and_Resources_v200.pkg.006" is smaller than the other 5

Keith,

Thank you. I should have read the instruction first - though in excitement, I did something wrong... then after-all followed the instructions and it worked.
