OS2 Error - in displaying the lyrics files (.cdg) in CDGs

Post by bobeld@aol.com »

This happened on my gig tonight. I loaded up a CDG and it played correctly. Loaded up the next and only the mp3 part loaded; the CDG lyrics files from the first remained stuck in memory. I tried using the 2nd player and the same thing happened. I could load the first CDG properly and subsequent loadings of other CDG only permitted the mp3 part to load. Restarted the Pa4x hoping it was just a one time glitch. Nope.
Also, the first loaded CDG file prevented me from even loading a text file with the words. It appears that when the first CDG file loads, it gets stuck in memory.
This is a serious problem which, unless I can correct it, may cause me to go back to the previous OS.

To recap - the first CDG file loaded prevents the loading of the lyrics file (.cdg) from subsequent loadings of karaoke files. I can load the mp3 part of the second and subsequent files, but not the accompanying CDG files.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks for the info - I am glad that it is not a problem with my individual Pa4x but an OS problem instead. I will go back to OS 1.24 until this issue is resolved. I hope that the OS fix will be coming very soon.

Just for info,

this bug does NOT EXIST in the "Musikant" ( with PKG-Update ).

So I´m sure it would help Korg to point out what PA4X Version you use, and, also important, if you use PKG or UPD

I am sure Korg would like to have that information.

I used the pkg update for my Korg Pa4x. I bought mine in Jan of 2016 and have been using pkg updates in all of my previous updates. Also the Pa4x asks for a pkg update after the calibration screens.
Thanks.

Do the tech people at Korg read these postings?
