Split mode lock problem

On page 849 it mentions:
If you want the same Lower settings to be used during all your shows, save your preferred Lower settings to the MY SETTING Keyboard Set (automatically selected on startup), and close this lock.

I've done what it says but it does not come up automatically. It's not a big problem because as soon as it boots I push the Split button to turn it off. Then from then-on it holds whatever setting I've chosen. But it doesn't seem to work as described in the manual.

Can somebody else verify this?
