Alright, I am at my wits end on this one. I have owned this ms2000r for a bit now, but am just now trying to use it for recording. I'm running in to two main issues:
1. I am trying to use my Keystep as a midi controller for my ms2000r, running MIDI OUT from the Keystep to MIDI IN on the ms2000r produces no sound. I know that the unit is working because I can select keyboard mode on the ms2000 and get sound output. Have changed global settings to external and internal, to no avail. Leading to problem...
2. I am trying to simply slave my Korg Volca Sample to the midi clock of my ms2000, so that when i use the tempo knob on the ms2000r, the volca sample will follow sync. I cannot seem to get any sync between the two, so I have no idea what is going on. I swear I used them together in January by simply plugging, MIDI OUT from the ms2000r to the MIDI IN of the Volca sample, but that doesn't seem to work.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I have tested my midi cable, and the inputs/outs of the volca and keystep respectively.

Hi,
1. Make sure that the global MIDI channel of the MS2000R is the same as the MIDI channel of the keystep. (external/)
2. Make sure that the MIDI clock is set to internal on the MS200R. On the Volca sample, set the MIDI clock source to auto. (Global settings)
Good luck!
