Is there a way to choose an instrument like a certain bass guitar and change the style?

Sure I can do that but then when the new style loads I have to reload the instrument.

There's a checkbox that says Use Original Instruments or something like that, seems like that would do what I want but it always changes the instrument I have to what the style wants.

Make sure the STS Mode button is unlit. That should keep the original sound active, at least until you manually change the STS position on the style. This is referenced from my PA3Xle.

I'll have a look at that.

So I have a bass guitar voice that I want to hear in any style I choose.

I keep having to re choose it every time I change a style.

Seems like unchecking the checkbox that says use original style instruments should leave whatever instrument I have alone, but not so...

Original Style Sounds
This parameter lets you choose if the Style has to play the
Sounds saved in the Performance or Style Settings, or the ones
saved in each Style Element.
Note: When assigning a Sound to a Style track, the “Original Style
Sounds” parameter is automatically turned off.
Note: This parameter can be saved with the Performance or Style
Settings.
On Style tracks always use the original Sounds
recorded in each Style Element. If you assign a
different Sound to a Style track, this parameter is
automatically set to Off.
Off You can assign different Sounds to each Style
track, and save them in a Performance or Style
Settings. The selected Sounds are the same for all
Style Elements (there are no different Sounds for
each Style element).These Sounds can be saved
into a Performance or Style Settings with the
“Write Performance” or “Write Current Style Settings”
commands (see page 32). Assigned Sounds
are shown in the Sounds area of this page.

So I could get the bass I wanted and assign it to the my performance button then just hit that to get the bass I want...

Is not possible to hold track sound for any Style.
Is saved in Style setting.
When Original Style Sounds is ON means every single element can have own track sound, when is OFF is only one set for all, but...... is also saved in Style, not in Performance,
In simple words Style hold 2 sets of tracks settings, one orginals and one saved in play mode, but both is part of style, means if you change style is gonna switch to new style track sounds.

STS Mode has nothing to do with style track style, is only for Uppers and Lower sound.

Performance didn't work.

I just have to change all the styles I use.
