I have tonight recorded a couple of chord sequences and when I play them back to sing with, the vocal harmoniser does not recognise the chords!!
Hope this is a bug and not intended I REALLY wanted this to work!!
What do you think?

The Chord recognition feature is not available for MP3 file playback so maybe that applies to sequencer playback too. Makes the vocal harmonizer almost redundant as far as I'm concerned, good job I have the TC-Helicon Voicelive 3. Apparently it wasn't licensed from TC-Helicon to include this feature, they probably wanted too much money.
There are other posts in this forum about the same problem.

Pete, I don't own yet Pa4x but I believe I was check this with someone before,.... in all Korg Pa Midi Output Chords is mess up.
Instead giving chord progression playing by arranger is passing only notes (not even chords in single mode) you play on lower (or any scan part), meaning if you using chord sequencer is not doing anything.
I been complain about many time including writing to Korg USA, but nobody ever care, so is it what it is.
Is a BUG, always been, and Korg never seriously want to care about.
You are in better position to deeply find out what is going on, I'm sure if you do testing and post as a Bug maybe someone will concern fix someday.
I wish I am wrong about.

Yes it possibly is a bug but there's nothing in the manual indicating that it should work.
Playing beck the Chord Sequence clearly shows all the recorded chords but the the harmoniser is dead to it.
Great shame for me!!!!
Now I'll have to learn and sing those harmonies as well

Hi all, I had a look at this issue and can confirm that I have managed to get the harmonizer to follow the chords that are programmed into the chord sequencer. Something seems a bit temperamental about getting it to work though, which could possibly be a sign of a bug or possibly that you need specific settings (or possibly that things don't work properly until they are switched on and off).
Having looked at Marcel's suggestions (thanks Marcel) and playing around with the settings, I've discovered that the midi settings don't really effect the outcome of getting this to work, from what I can see. I also tried totally disconnecting all the midi cables and the harmonizer still works and still follows the chord sequencer fine (so I don't think you need to plug in midi cables to get the thing working).
I tried saving a new song book entry and also tried creating a brand new mic setting preset (just in case it was a problem to do with pre OS2.0/2.01 settings). These didn't seem to make too much difference though (as I've managed to get pre and post update songbook files and mic preset files to work properly with the chord sequencer).
The main thing that I've noticed though is that sometimes simply turning on the global check box In the mic settings section of the style section, seems to suddenly enable the harmony feature. In other words, in certain tests that I did, the harmony only started/sounded when this was switched on. Then, even after it was switched off, it still continued to work fine.
In summary, even though I have got it working and following the chord sequencer, it appears that the issue has something to do with enabling it via the global switch OR possibly that it is only really working when the global voice preset is used/enabled OR that by switching things on and off in the mic section or the mic settings page seems to suddenly make things active and working how they should.
Anyway, I hope that my confirmation that the feature definitely works is helpful to you and that some of my insights/test help us towards possibly solving the settings (or possible bug) issue.
Best wishes,
Jon

do a chord sequences and let it play , it might work or not , if it will not work , just go to the voice preset ,,i pick chord harm on and change the ( it call Type ) Plain Notes and it work ... so you need a preset just for the chord sequences to work ,, this is what I found out so far , it might help some one , and I made a preset of this type just for use with chord sequences ,
tell if it work for you ,,
thanks
Hey THANKS guys - you are giving me some hope here.

Oke maybe it's a bug
when your setup is NOTES it works wel(style play control CHORD SCAN)
when your setup is CHORD it sometimes works(it works only when you
choose a voice preset after you start to play with CS
when it's not working then push one time on SPLIT or CHORD SCAN lower or upper
than it's working (with no midi)
You guys are just GREAT - thanks thanks thanks!!!!!!!
I got it working every time I did this (so far):-
(As you've suggested above)
1. Start actually PLAYING the chord sequencer and immediately select/change a harmony type.
OR
2. Just simply press the SPLIT button twice (e.g. OFF then ON - does not disrupt the CS)
These are useable work arounds for me now.
At least I can record some correct harmonies now to hide my voice!!!
I think this might be a bug - what do you think - unfortunately is it not mentioned anywhere in the manual that you can use the harmoniser with the CS
Thanks again!!!

Hi Pete, yes, I am now convinced that this is definitely a bug.
Even though we have found multiple ways of getting the harmonizer to work with the chord sequencer, I believe that the fact that several settings only work intermittently and/or only start working properly when they are switched on and off, is a clear sign that this is in fact a bug.
I'm glad that the temporary hacks to get this working have been useful for you temporarily but feel that we definitely shouldn't have to play around like this to get it working properly/consistently.
Also, even though the chord sequencer/harmonizer combo is not specifically mentioned in the manual, I thing it is a 'given' that the harmonizer should work seamlessly with the Chord sequencer.
Subsequently, I'd be grateful if you could add it to the bug report thread on our behalf.
Thanks,
Jon
