Setting the nanopad to play C-1 thru D#0 thru the Kronos

Post by bmtg »

Hello,
Does anyone know how I can set the nanopad to play C -1 thru D# 0 on a certain patch of the Kronos? I would like to have this for key switches on a program that is set to play external sounds from my MacBook. Preferably, the nano pad would still play the pads on other patches, but if not possible, how to do it in general would be appreciated.

Thank you

The Nonopad has it's own editor. You can get it from the korg website

Hi, by default the top 8 buttons of the Nanopad are mapped to the 8 chord pads in each patch on the Kronos.

To get 16 separate notes from Nanopad you would need to set up both the 8 pads in the Kronos patch for the top 8 pads, and the Nanopad itself using the Korg Nano Control Software for the bottom 8 pads.

To control the MacBook you would need to set the midi channel for each pad on both the Kronos pad screen and the Korg nano control software to something other than the Kronos global channel that the MacBook responds to.
