Adding Reverb to a Loaded Sample

I have a TR76 with EXB-SMPL -I have loaded a sample through media and when I access it via sampling, it seems I cannot add reverb to it. I have used the menu -IFX - to insert an effect, but the sample does not recognize it. Any suggestions?
