Korg pa1000 availability

Post by Kimbol1940 »

I wonder if anyone has got their hands on the korg pa1000.
It's been a few months since it had been launched and it appears that only the korg pa700 has been the more accessible new release than the pa1000. I live in Toronto Canada and seems to be available only online and not in music stores yet. Wonder why its taking korg so long to get the pa1000 available for those who want an upgrade other than the pa700. Im just anxious to get ahold of one myself.
It has a lot of features that I know will be a major upgrade to the Korg pa800 that I currently have been using for more than 10 years but can't afford a Korg pa4x. anyone else have thoughts on this

I went to a demo evening on the PA4X Osimo and PA1000 on Wednesday.

The demonstrators said that the PA1000 would be available in quantity in the new year.

There is only one in the UK apparently and it looks and sounds amazing.

After hearing the 4X and the 1000 one after each other and back again, for me I would save up some more and go for the 4X rather than the 1000.

The Osimo has amazing styles, sounds and included songbook, it bliws the 1000 and 700 out of the water.

You can use the Osimo resources on the Pa700 and other Pa4x resources

I asked the very question of the demonstrator and he said no

I then asked if they were going to do similar to Osimo for the 1000 and 700 and his response was that it is not planned to do so in the short term.

So for the time being you will need to create your own styles from the existing ones or produce them in a DAW and import the MIDI and convert it into a style.
