Minilogue filter noise

Post by Komponif2 »

Hi, i Just bought a minilogue. I have a question: when i decrease the volume of two Vco and noise in the mixer section i can hear the click of the filter and there is no way to eliminate It even by adjusting cutoff, resonance and filter envelope to zero. This is a normal behavior or I have to think that my minilogue is not functioning correctly? I have others sinth and if I decrease the oscillators volume I can't hear any sound. I hope I explained. Thanks for your help!

It's probably coming from the VCA (Amp). Does the click disappear when you turn up the Amp Envelope Attack?

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's quite common for an analogue VCA to click on a key press, and it's usually caused by a tiny amount of DC offset in the circuit.

Hi, thanks for your reply, yes if I turn up the envelope attack amount this click disappear. My doubt is because I have another analog sinth ( Moog little phatty) that do not present the same behavior.
Maybe in the sounds with open filter this click give more character to the sound but when filter is closed I think is a little bit annoying. For the rest I'm loving the minilogue.
