Anyone purchase and install the hard drive? Cost? Where did you get it?

No One?

This would be for a 61 Key.

hi guitpic

I was interested to fit a HDD to my 61 key but the disk fitting kit, which seems to include an interface, is around £150 alone so you also must add the cost of a Disk Drive.

Conventional HDDs are probably the main point of failure so it would make sense to fit a SSD if anyone is going this route. A few 76key owners seem to have done so. I wonder about the extra cost to retro-fit?

I've fitted a microSD card in the rear bay and it seems to do all I will ever need. Currently at 16GB but only used for styles. A new 128GB card (may need to be re-formatted in the Pa4X) is less than the cost of the fitting kit.

Please let me know how you decide?
Best regards
rik
