KORG KROSS 1:How to record drum patterns into sequencer?

Greetings:
Want to use on board drum patterns for oringinal songs.
How do I record pre set drum grooves into the sequencer?

I have the KROSS2 but I think what you do is enable and arm the drum track, then press record and while you're in record-prep mode, toggle the Drum button and press a key so that when you press play it will start playing after the count-in.
