Midi commands

Post by Rocknout4u »

Ok this sending midi commands to the krome is wearing me down trying to figure out what you need to send to change from program mode to combination mode .I am using a Korg moxF in master mode which controls up to 4 external synths and using zone 2 to send bank change and program changes to the krome .i put a number from 1-6 in the LSB to change banks and then just put the number 1-128 in the program change area in the moxF to change to the right program. Can you change from a program bank to a combination using a midi command and if so what would you have to do ? I have researched and looked all over and can't find any info on this .Anyone have any ideas . Thanks

It is possible to tell Krome to change from program mode to combi mode and back using sysex message. The code is in the back of the parameters manual...and in this forum somewhere...a search should locate it.

I know this can be done from a pc or mac but no way to send those commands from a Synth to another Synth .

Not sure why I did not think of just using the combi mode and not using program mode and sending the program changes to it .I will set my krome up for my live sets in combi mode .

Set List mode allows Programs, Combis, and Songs to be combined in the Set List, and then selected via external MIDI command.
