Korg Triton Extreme audio sample issue

When I record a vocal sound (through) a mic as a sample and playback the WAV file it sounds fine.

When I then convert the sample MS to a program and playback through keys on the keys through the sequencer it sounds abit jerky, loose the sound quality and does not sound correct.

Any suggestions why this is happening?

Could it be one of the effects?

Yes can check, although as far as I'm aware I've not set any.

It sounds very different when played through the keys.

Any other suggestions.
