Monologue/Ableton sequencer goes out of sync after time

Post by RealHolyDays »

Hi everyone!

I am having trouble with my korg monologue. The sequencer is going of sync after ca. 1min and it makes it impossible to record a track (or play live :( ).

The monologue is currently connected with MIDI in from ableton so the clock is coming from ableton. The sequencer starts when I hit play on ableton. I will try tomorrow with a USB cable instead of the midi but I would prefer to keep the midi.

If anyone has an idea that would be great!

Thank you very much.

See the following thread. You will find some user suggestions. I suggest a workaround in the last reply in the thread.

Thank you 7zark7!

I didn't try the solution your proposed but it gave me an idea! I synced it with the dynsync from my volca Fm and now it works perfectly.

I can start the sequencer whenever I want and it plays in sync, and I can send midi notes from ableton if I don't want to use the sequencer.

For people not having a volca I guess your solution in the link is a great alternative.

Cheers!
