PA700/1000 Guitar input

Hi

A question regarding the guitar input if anyone can help. I have small two man band. Guitarist and Keyboard (presently PSR S900). If I bought either of these units (pref 1000) can the guitar player plug into this for a Live Gig and have the effects change when playing a style. I understand that I can customize the style and save it as user style in songbook then recall info. Would the guitar patch also be saved? and most importantly if I change the part on the keyboard can I have it change the guitar effect for that part.

As an example they play a Santana song and the 1st is a rythmn guitar sound then later we get to the Santana lead guitar part. The keyboard player changes his part for that section but can it change the guitar sound? Might be a bit weird for the guitarist having the keyboard player switch at the right moment - wouldnt want the guitarist go into full wail pose and out comes plink plink. But if it can be done is the question?

And or any suggestions? Midi pedal? How would you guys do it?
