PA 1000 crash , buzzing sound from speakers

so last night feb 17 i finally pick up my brand new PA 1000 from the samash music store (i ordered 2 moths ago), very exiting night i must say , so i was just checking out sound and styles and about 30 minutes in to it , the keyboard started to making this loud buzzing sound from the speakers , the whole panel was not responding including the volume and power button , i had to unplug the power cord , nothing was downloaded , nothing was plug in , any idea for what happen?? do i need to returned ? any suggestions ?

Does not sound good. I would try turning it on one more time and see if it does it again. Sounds like a return for a proper working one is in your future. :cry:

i had a similar experience that you describe ,happen to my pa 700...i was quite worried...only happened when i first got it...there was an update put out for the pa 700..not long ago...fingers crossed

Hi playing for some hour and half no problems,sudden loud noise with
no response on Exit, Style change,Volume,etc, Pulled the plug out.
Plugged in started up again, normal for the next half hour.
No further trouble and nothing found.Only 14 days in not good.

what OS is in your pa1000...
there is two os that I know of

os1.00

os1.01

Hi duby My 1000 has the OS 1.01 dated 4th Sept 2017. Played again
today,no problems.Went into all areas,demos,songbook,set list,styles.
different volumes and balances nothing out of the norm happened.
Hope only a one off. Never had any trouble with the Pa4x,.
I wonder if this was a Korg problem, a lot of people waiting with
orders placed in Sept when the model was first announced. The delay in supply was certainly not like Korg.

Can I suggest that should you have a repeat that you video the unit and then send the video to Korg.

my pa10000 has OS1.01 also..

at one time the pa3x made a big popping noise , it had somethine to do with the MAX audio ,we do not have this ,, just , just maybe it the Limiter or Master EQ
